How to begin? Set a specific plan and follow it.

7 Rules for Fat-Burning Success from Downtown Vancouver’s Fitness Trainer

These 7 rules can help you plan to reduce body fat strategically:

Rule#1 Water Rules

Water is crucial if you want to get rid of unwanted fat. Every time you get thirsty, reach for a glass of water instead of sugary drinks like juice or even milk. These beverages will only add more calories to your daily intake, making it harder to lose your stored fat weight. Drinking water regularly will also help you avoid overeating, feel more energized, and won’t slow you down when working out.

Rule #2 Protein, Please

Protein is one of the best nutrients to include in your meal plan for burning fat. Whether chicken, turkey, eggs, low-fat cottage cheese, beef, or whey protein powder, having protein at every meal gives you sustained energy throughout the day. Another important factor in burning fat is timing your meals correctly. Vancouver’s downtown fitness trainer has a post on this to check out

Rule #3 Vary Your Variety

There are lots of exercises that help you burn fat. No single routine is best for everyone and hey, why limit yourself when variety is the spice of life? Mix things up, trying different types of workouts to see what works best for you. Prefer high-intensity interval training (HIIT) Learn more. Fantastic! Just be sure to switch is up with resistance training, strength training, and stretching here and there. This will help your body work differently and therefore find new ways to get rid of unwanted fat.

Rule #4 Go Big

If you want to get rid of fat, build long-term muscle! To do this use big, compound movements with free weights. This means plenty of bench press, squats, deadlifts, and military press. If you’re not into weightlifting, that’s okay, there are options and approaches. Rule #5 Eat Less

When trying to reduce the amount of fat on your body, consider eating less food overall. That’s right–calories are key. You might think that you can eat as much healthy food as you want and still lose weight, but that’s not the case. Your body only needs a certain number of calories to survive. Any extras will just sit in your body and have the potential to turn into fat, even if those extras come from healthy sources like fruits and vegetables. Of course how you prepare them counts also. Rule #6 Got to Bed

A lot of people seem to think that they can just skimp on sleep and still lose weight, but that’s not how it works. Your body needs sleep in order to function properly, and if you’re not getting enough sleep, you’re more likely to make poor food choices and have less energy to work out. Make sure you’re getting around eight hours of sleep every night. You’ll get restorative sleep, avoid late night snacking and wake up feeling rested and ready to make healthy decisions throughout the day.

Rule #7 Relax Once

This is less a rule than a suggestion. Give yourself a break now and then. Otherwise, you may find yourself unable to maintain your fat-burning ways for the long-term. Once a week, for exactly one meal, allow yourself to enjoy whatever food you’ve been craving. It could be a greasy burger loaded with the fixings, a piece of chocolate caramel banana-crème cake, or just a salad with your favourite fattening dressing. Just remember to keep it to a normal portion size, only do it for one meal each week, and return back to your healthy eating immediately.
