Raise your hand if you think the only way to lose weight and get fit is to train like crazy 3 hours a day 7 days a week.
Over the past year 3D Fitness has helped countless people look and feel amazing by training less than one hour a day, 2-4 times a week.
Together, they’ve lost hundreds of pounds and gained priceless levels of energy, strength and vitality.
To be clear, it wasn’t done with exercise alone. Diet had a lot to do with it. Stuff like cutting out sugar, processed foods, and empty calories. Education is key. Our clients learn what most people trying to lose weight on their own will never hear.
Today I’d like to share one of those key lessons with you.
You up for it?
Alright then, here you go…
Have you ever wondered how those people with amazingly fit, agile, strong, healthy bodies got it? Is there some secret strategy, diet or workout they are keeping to themselves?
In a word…
No.
They’re just more serious than you are.
Think about it:
How dedicated are you to living a healthy lifestyle? I don’t mean just getting to the gym whenever you can or whenever you feel like it. I don’t mean going on a diet every couple of months. I don’t mean taking a supplement and crossing your fingers that it magically melts the fat away. I don’t mean doing the same redundant routine every week with nothing to show for it. I don’t mean doing it only when you have the time. I mean a real commitment. I mean scheduling and getting every workout in no matter what. I mean consciously choosing to eat real, unprocessed, whole foods every day. I mean consistently getting enough quality sleep every night and waking up well rested and excited to face the day.
Catch my drift?
If you’re not dedicated; if you’re not serious about your health, ask yourself…
At what cost?
As the saying goes… “Those who think they don’t have time for exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness”. As a former RN I’ve seen first hand the damage and suffering poor lifestyle choices have on people.
It’s not pretty.
So why aren’t most people serious?
Here are some of the answers I’ve heard in the past:
- It’s not fun
- I don’t have the time
- I’m not motivated
- It’s not easy
- I don’t think I deserve it
- I have an injury
- I’m just too tired
- I don’t have the support
- I don’t know how
Here’s the thing… changing your lifestyle and creating new habits is not always fun. In fact it’s just good old fashioned hard work.
Do you think those people who look and feel amazing, who have amazing energy, strength, stamina, and health never feel like skipping a workout? Do you think there aren’t times those people would much rather order pizza and turn on Netflix instead of working out? They are not magical beings. They simply choose differently.
They are serious.
If you want health, if you have weight loss goals, if you want to feel vibrant and energetic and strong, you have to start thinking like they do. You have to stop looking at your health and fitness as secondary, as minor, as a given, as an inconvenience. Start looking at your health as a gift. Something that can be taken away from you at any moment. At the risk of sounding cliché… your body is your temple. Treat it like such and it will reward you infinitely.
Take it seriously.
